So I plan on doing a holiday comic. I had so much fun working on the a Christmas sprite comic on SSF so long ago that I really want to do something like that again. Since I've really been in a drawing mood lately I want to do a hand drawn Christmas comic. However, I need ideas. You don't have to help me think of every comic panel. That takes too long to decide upon (although you're welcome to throw out as many ideas as you want), but just help me decide on the general plot of the comic. The SSF Christmas Special was a parody of the frequently done So-and-so Saves Christmas plot along with T'was the Night Before Christmas toward the end. This comic will probably be another Christmas special parody, but all of you get to help me decide what to parody. You can also suggest more ideas for the poll, but two things I definitely won't be doing parodies of are A Christmas Story (the movie about the kid and the bebe gun and whatnot) and A Nightmare Before Christmas. Don't take it personal if you like those movies, but simply put I don't. No offense.

Also, feel free to suggest what characters you would like to see in the comic. Some possible choices would be the cast of Sonic, Mario, Mega Man, Pokemon, Super Smash Bros. and even Garfield. So, let me discuss the current choices.

A Christmas Carol: It's been ridiculously overdone, but for good reason. It's a classic and one of the best Christmas stories I know of. It's also fairly easy to parody with a variety of character.

It's a Wonderful Life: Another story that's been parodied a lot, but still a very good one. As far as this and A Christmas Carol goes, they could be very interesting for developing someone's character.

Frosty the Snowman: This one might be more difficult to do, but it doesn't necessarily even have to be about a snowman, but rather a story similar in plot.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: Same deal as Frosty really. Basically, take any character that is a misfit and show their journey to be accepted and accept their self.

How the Grinch Stole Christmas: This one wouldn't be very hard to do. In fact, it may be one of the most fun to do. The only thing is I'm sort of reluctant as Brawl in the Family did it so well.

A Peanuts Christmas Special: It's actually my favorite Christmas special and would probably be very fun to do with different characters. It's where Charlie Brown was depressed about all the commercialism of Christmas until finally reminded of it's true meaning by Linus, and you can't forget that humble, little tree.

Something completely original: Um, don't pick this. Just kidding. Seriously though, there's so many great Christmas stories it would be difficult to think of something original, but I'm certainly not ruling it out.

I'll be working on the Christmas comic alongside DSI during the month of December. For the remainder of November, however, I'll be focusing on A Koopa Family Thanksgiving Special. I hope y'all enjoy it!

Remember everyone to think of what you have to be thankful for. Things can look pretty bleak at times, but it really helps when you stop thinking about how bad they are, and even how bad they could be, but instead how good things actually are. Just start with being thankful that you're breathing (at least I hope you are) and go from there and have a Happy Thanksgiving!
